Overview

At PA Day Critter Camp, children see where GHS cares for animals and learn about the people and work behind that care. They’ll play games, make crafts, and explore what animals need and how to treat them with kindness and respect.

Campers may also meet animal guests. Any interaction depends on the animals’ comfort and may be shortened or cancelled if they need a break.

Campers tour the shelter and take part in animal-themed games, crafts, and activities. They’ll learn about the animals at GHS and the work involved in caring for them.

Will campers meet animals?

They may meet animal guests when it is appropriate for the animals and campers. We pay attention to each animal’s comfort, so an interaction may be shortened or cancelled.
