How your tribute gift helps animals
Tribute gifts support the area of greatest need at GHS. They help provide:
- Veterinary assessment, treatment, medication, and surgery
- Nutritious food, safe shelter, enrichment, and daily care
- Individualized behaviour and recovery support
- Initial assessment and stabilizing care for sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife
- Temporary shelter and care for pets whose families are facing crisis
Let someone know about your gift
When making your donation, you can ask GHS to notify an individual or family. Provide their email or mailing address and your personal message on the donation form. We will let them know that a tribute gift has been made without sharing the amount.
Any applicable charitable tax receipt will be issued to the person making the donation.
Donations in lieu of flowers
If you are preparing an obituary or memorial notice, you are welcome to use the following wording:
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of [Name] may be made to the Guelph Humane Society at guelphhumane.ca.
